| Casey slunk through the hallway and up to the sign in book. She didn't want to be here, in fact, neither did her brother, but the fact was that they didn't have a choice. Eyeing the many scarred man, she just sneered and entered her name. Her flowery script was typically feminine, but she remembered to write Casey's name down instead of hers. It had been three years, afterall and it was beyond habit now.
Mentally she shrunk away from the stray thought that she hoped they didn't have communial showers. Having to be naked with all the other boys when she was a girl was a little daunting. Not to mention the fact that she had already begun to show an interest in boys. Strange that Casey himself never complained about it.
Casey took that momentary weakness and seized on it, taking control. He jerked upright, flashed a cheeky grin at the scarred man and marched into the dining Hall. To be feeling his limbs again, after nearly two days of being stuck in the back of his mind, was more than worth the effort he was making to keep Jess away. As he stared at the three bowls of fruit he became distracted with a particularily good looking young fellow beside him.
Jess came to the fore with little effort and her little grunt of victory was more than noticed by those passing by. She didnt care, neither of them cared for the odd looks they brought with them.... at least not until they wanted to.
She snatched up an orange and almost immediately began to peel the juicy fruit. Hunting for a place to sit down, she chose a well occupied table. Munching on the fruit, she surveyed her surroundings as Casey cringed inside. I hate oranges. he said inside her, Why did you have to choose an orange?
"Shut up." she said aloud - a student sitting next to her gave her a filthy look and promptly vacated the seat.

He hated the start of the semester, when all the new students came in and bonded, doing nothing, being useless. He enters the dining hall to glimpse this happening, and see just what he would have to be dealing with this semester. Its hard to miss him. The air around him s hivers, bringing a feel of dread to those susceptable to it. His tall form and the sound of his respirator, an in and out of air that sounded so utterly unatural that it was hard to ignore.
The glow of his green eyes make it hard to pinpoint just where he is looking, but Casey would feel his gaze upon her. He can feel the taint of demon on her, but she was obviously not the victim of a powerful demon. Some low thing showing off its power. Too bad. She would have been a much more interesting subject if she'd been victim to a real demon, a real horror of a demon. He loiters on the outter edge of the hall before taking up a place, standing away from the ever-growing mass of the student body, but within a direct line of sight to Casey. He motions the duo sharing the body to him. The nature of his stance, and his waiting, lingering gaze made it clear that he expected to be obeyed, and not be kept waiting.

| (( OOC: lol, thanks Naked for giving me something to do )) Casey kept looking around, hoeing into the orange with a fierce passion. She didn't particularily like them either, but she didn't hate them the way Casey did, so oranges were currently her favourite fruit. Cruel, yes, but he had put her in this mess afterall. She wasn't about to forgive him anytime soon. Casting her eye out and drowning out the tiny voice inside her head along with the mutinous mutterngs of her stomach, Casey took a look around at the other students. She wasn't sure what she would see, but little surprised her these days. Having just been through her eigthteenth birthday, a sort of 'coming of age' age, and growing up in a magical family, little she came across was exotic these days. Her stomach clenched further when she saw a few fiends and demons scattered about, but they were either students or teachers too preoccupied with other things than to notice her. Half growling at the growing agitation she felt coming in waves from her brother, she squashed his personality down into something similar in size as the half eaten orange she held. The juice ofit dribbled down her fingertips and she brought those slender appendages to her lips to like the juice off. Caught with her tongue out, her eyes alighted on him. He wore clothes that made him seem like some sort of foreign lord in a time that seemed too distant, a bearing that brooked no nonsense and an aura that spoke of great dedication. Though what he dedicated himself to, she could not begin to guess. And he was staring at her. Casey new him to be a professor. She had seen his card - noted the mask that covered nearly half of his face but the reality presented that the photograph didn't made her swallow. He crooked a finger and she found herself rising before she even knew she had intended to obey him. She blinked, staring back into those glowing eyes. Casey was quiet, his voice for once silent. Even now, he did not seek to control - not wishing to be the one to face this particular man. Casey ran an eye, an inexperienced eye, over Cuusuun. Her teen hormones inexplicibly liked what she saw. His dark skin was perfection, the white cloth the bound his hair contrasting nicely with both clothing and skin. Though he clearly had demon blood flowing through those attractive veins, Casey found herself intrigued. Intrigued as she was though, her stubbornness still leaked through. Oh she came to him, but at her own pace and still eating the orange. So slowly did she approach that she had finished the orange three steps infront of him - each bite of the orange segment savoured in her mouth, the juice sliding down her fingers. A step away from him and she lifted her fingers to lick them clean, her eyes staring at his dark glasses as she moved her saliva moistened fingers to rest lightly on her hip. Casey perked her eyebrow arrogantly in question as her heart thudded in her chest. | |

| (( No trouble. Needed something to do myself!))
<<Geoffry Cuusuun>>
He was left waiting longer than he wanted as she casually made her way towards him. And he was given a look. As the young man's eyes passed over him, he raised a brow, one that clearly did not express curiosity or interest. The mask he wore prevented her from seeing any other form of expression, save his eyes and his brow. He'd learned to make them show everything, and he did not approve.
She moved slowly. Too slowly. His aura rippled with irritation until finally he moved to her instead, meeting her in the middle, and shooting out a clawed hand to rip the half-eaten orange from her hand. The force in which he did so would crush the poor helpless fruit, its juices dripping down his fingers and landing on the floor, soon to follow what was left of the orange. He wasn't happy. He did not like stubborn.
"Child, when I tell you to come, you do so with haste. You're new, I'll spare you from my temper for now, but remember what I say, or you'll end up bloodied." his voice is a harsh, low whisper, doubled by the mask. The voice buzzed with anger. Clearly, he meant what he said.
"Tell me you name. And clean that up." He doesn't need to point at the mess he's left of the orange, and steps to one of the tables to take a napkin for himself, and clean off the fruit juice before it sticks to his skin. The used napkin would then be tossed at her.

| Casey's insolent grin turned triumphant as the tiefling moved towards her instead ofwaitng for her to come to him. She didn't know why, but it had given her an elated feeling to know she could irk him. Casey cringed inside her and she quashed him down further. Then the claws were coming up and the fruit ripped from her grasp. She arched her own eyebrow. Irk him? Hell, it seemed she had made him mad. That thought did something funny to her stomach and for some reason her grin grew even wider.
His voice was strange and sent shivers down her spine. It was two tonal, something inbetween his natural voice and the one the mask gave him. She itched to take it off and see just what lay beneath. But she occupied her hands with the soiled napkin instead, bending down to take the pulped fruit from the floor, never taking her eyes off his.
Casey was well aware that she hadgained attention from most of the students in the Hall, but for once she didn't care. Absurdly, all the attention she wanted was from Cuusuun himself. Playing with fire.... the thought echoed in her head and Casey wailed. For a brief moment he snatched at control and had it. A flash of fear and hate etched over his face before Jess rammed herself home. She just looked at him coolly, being a teacher and what he was, he would have known of her.... affliction.
Holding the napkin, she arched an eyebrow again. "Casey Terra." her lips curved around the name, "So, what do you want?"

| He was still not pleased as she bent to clean up the orange, standing straight and tall, looking down at her, watching her clean the mess. He accepted her name silently. His eyebrows arched a bit as the real Casey suddenly came foward. The sudden change in expression made it clear, and beneath his mask the smallest of smiles spread. The only sound that issued from his was a grunt. He considered her silently before meeting her gaze. He fooled with his glasses a moment, wondering at taking them off, and letting her get the full effect they brought. Very well might wipe that smirk off her face.
"Doesn't matter. Tell me what your other name is, and to which name you belong truely." His tone is matter of fact, and no nonsense.
He takes a moment to look beyond her, at the student population that had thier attention on the pair. He formed his gaze into a glare, one that cleared read, Mind you own damn buisness. The more timid students hurriedly looked away and moved out of the room to thier newly assigned dorms. The braver ones looked away, waiting for him to move his attention away from them, so that they could resume watching.

| Casey continued to grin arrogantly. Inexplicibly, his rough exterior didn't bother her - it only seemed to intrigue her further. Of course, only being eighteen, it could have been the hormones.
She watched him glare around and smirked again, though this time the reason was not so clear. When she spoke, she spoke softly, so that only he could hear. It wasn't a game she was playing, she simply did not want the other students hearing her. "Jess... for now." She twisted her lips around her own name - disliking disclosing even that much. But she wasn't fool enough to keep silent. It was the best she could do. Even though she and Casey maintained different souls, the body was beginning to feel hers now, and the name 'casey' even more so.
Casey himself itched to have his own body back, but being so close and yet so far from his goal frustrated him. He was beginning, after three years, to separate himself, to grow more distant. It seemed that unconsciously, he was beginning to accept the situation.
Smiling, somewhat lazily, she asked, "Can I throw this away now?" the messy pulp in her hand was beginning to drip through the napkin.

| He raised a brow at her smirking. Did she always smile that much? It was annoying, and offputting. He pauses to consider the bench, some place to sit. But being eyed by this one and the braver of the student population was quickly becoming tiresome.
"Wipe the grin off your lips, it's obnoxious."
He leaned a bit closer as she whispered, hoping to hear it clearly over the low whir and unnatural breathing sounds that came from his mask. Jess. It was a girl. He snickered, a small amused smile showing itself behind ths mask, the amusement he felt expressed in his eyes.
"You're a female? Unexpected." He gives a nod at her inquiry, motioning towards the trash casually with a clawed hand. A female and a male sharing the same body? The female was obviously the dominant, seeing as he'd seen far more of her, and could feel her pressuring the other she shared the body with.

From across the room, after cleaning his scales and getting petted by one of the students a little, he would look up and over, his sharp hearing picking out the low tone of the dark one. He perked up a bit and would run along the table before doing a couple of long, well placed leaps from table to table before making his way to Professor Cuusuun was standing. He liked this one, he was a good hunter, and he helped protect his empire here. They had an understanding, because they both did the same job of keeping students in line.
A nicely placed leap, well practised and well executed, would take him onto Cuusuun's shoulder. He was large really for a shoulder, but Cuusuun was also strong and would not show the weight. It made them both look bigger when he took a ride this way, his tail helping balance him there. The dark guard did not like this student, and he would turn his head a bit to get a better look at the one that was rousing the dark guard's interest. He sniffed, letting his tongue flicker as well. Something odd about this one. He trusted the dark guard's instincts, and as he became short with the student the dragon would open its wings wide, making him, and the dark guard seem that much larger and more imposing.. not that Cuusuun needed it really. He hissed, his wings doing that threatening humm. He stood by most of the teachers, mainly because he considered them his guards, and sometimes his servants depending on the occasion when he needed or wanted something.

| Unexpectedly he has the little dragon on his shoulder. The tiefling peers at Duncan a moment, lifting a hand to run a finger down the little dragon's neck, almost absentmindedly. He liked the little dragon. It didn't nag for attention, do stupid things, or really annoy him in any way. Sometimes it could be a little overdramatic, but he much prefered its company to that of staff and students most of the time.
Duncan then decided to be abit overdramatic. He gave the little dragon a square, unamused look. He did not need to look bigger. Between the little dragon and the tiefling, they were plenty big enough. He tugs lightly on Duncan's tail to get the little dragon's attention.
"Stop that." A command, but one far less stern than what he gave to the student in front of him. "I don't need you're help."

He would look back at the dark guard, making a slightly strangled squalk when his tail was tugged. He grouched but settled down. Ok fine, the dark guard wanted to flex his own claws. He would let him deal with the problem, that was what he had him around for after all. No point in having servants if they didn't make themselves useful. Maybe he would get the dark guard to feed him some of that rich meaty sauce he had in his room. He especially liked that.
He would carefully curl himself around the tiefling's shoulders, allowing the heat from the other's body to warm his own. Might as well make the guard useful after all in making his life more comfortable. He let his front claws drape over a shoulder, laying his head on them, while his back legs and tail draped over the other, his wings folded very tightly against his slender scaly body, as he watched the proceedings calmly.
Female? He would blink once, his tongue flickering again. It didn't taste female, but there was something odd about the student. If the dark guard said female, then it must be. But why was a breeder in his domain? There were almost no breeders around here. Very strange. He turned his head to look at the top table where the other teachers were before looking back to the student.

| Casey's eyes widened when Duncan made his appearance. A flush rose to her cheeks as she became embarrassed under the tiefling's heated stare. She had never seen a dragon, but she had heard rumours of one roosting in here. She looked over the blue being carefully and suddenly wondered what it would do if it encountered one of its larger cousins.
She found herself grinning as she imagined Duncan spitting in its eye. Fiesty.
As Cuusuun casually tugged on its tail, she arched an eyebrow. He seemed almost fond of this creature... interesting.
As to his earlier question, she frowned slightly. "Yes... I am. But..." her eyes took on an introspective look, but she didn't finish her sentence. Then her troubled expression was gone, "When do we get put into our Dorms?" She stared at him, "What dorm are you in?"

| He casually pet the roosting dragon as it settled down, running a clawed finger over the scales of its neck, careful not to get to close tot he wings. Duncan didn't always like when people touched his wings. He paid more attention to the dragon than he did the student infront of him, head slightly turned in the creature's direction.
"I don't belong to any dorm, and I don't assign them. Go sit the with others and you'll be placed. Its not my concern."
He doesn't show her the least bit concern as he turns to head back toward his Quarters, dragon in toe. There wasn't so much as a parting word, and if she even tried to follow, she'd be shot a glare that could tear through souls.

| Casey shrugged as he walked away, then remembered the fruit slop still in her hand. Heading to the nearest recepticle, she chucked the pulpy mess in and sighed, looking at the back of the departing tiefling. She had known, of course, that he belonged to no dorm, but it had seemed a good way to get him to continue to talk. His two tonal voice gave her the shivers. Whether excitement or fear was not clear, but somehow she wanted to keep having them.
You know, you'r'e going to get us in trouble.
'Oh? "She snapped aloud, startling some students nearby, "and what the hell did you do three years ago!?"
That wasn't my fault!!!
"Whatever.... "she growled and plopped herself onto the nearest bench. It was time to get assigned a dorm. If only she could stop thinking about glowing eyes.....

| <<Professor C>>
Making sure he walked close enough to the tiefling that he could hear, Cheshire breathed deeply as he made his way to the first student on his list.
"Ho-purr ... Ho-purr ... Ho-purr ...." Gambling that the old Darth Vader joke was still acceptable, he turned and winked before stopping in front of Casey.
He stood easily on the balls of his feet and extended a hand in greeting. "Hi. I'm Professor C. You're in my dorm. Wind Dorm. Let's go." He beckoned with his head. "Got to get the rest collected and stored so that I can batten down the hatches. Going to storm tonight, and we've got a hike ahead of us."

| Casey looked up barely a minute after flopping onto the bench when a voice spoke. A particularily strange man stood before her. He looked like something out of an anime, to be honest and upon learning he was head of the Wind Dorm she suppressed an urge to grin. She rose, taking his word for it and only briefly glanced the way the Tiefling had gone. She suppressed a sigh this time. That one was fire. If only she didn't like fire so much.
"A storm?" she asked, "Where is the Wind Dorm sir?" she followed him readily enough, along his entire route all the way to her new home.
((OOC: Sorry for the short post but would you like to start a Wind Dorm thread from this?))

| ((no worries, I had it in my head that I needed to hunt down Corin, too, but he's an upperclassman, whoops! lol -- just follow the links!)) <<Cheshire>>Not unaware of his unusual appearance (and taking a rather perverse satisfaction in shocking the new freshmen), Cheshire grinned back at the boy. "Yes, a storm, though I'm going to do my best to turn it aside." He points toward the West, through the wall and back towards the main road. "Dorm's that way." Consulting his list, he circled the dining hall gathering his share of the new freshmen. Pretty much all the new faces left in the room were Wind's; Earth Dorm freshmen left early, as usual, and Water never wanted to stick around long. Fire was temperamental, and Cheshire was always late, but at least that made things somewhat easier. The baggage was already gone, spirited away when the students received their assignments. Cheshire let them marvel for a few minutes in the foyer before herding them in a gaggle towards the "hill" he pointed out. The tops, and the slate roofs of the buildings could just be picked out against the darkening sky. "There," he told the students. "That's the Little Windy Hill, and your home for the next year." Grinning, he struck off in easy, swift strides along the paths that would take them to the Wind Dorms. | |
