| <<Cheshire>> Cheshire led his yawning students from the Wind Dorm back to the Dining Hall for breakfast. Orientation would start after breakfast On the way, he pointed out some of the main features of campus, including the tunnels, which would come in handy for those who didn't fancy getting wet as they explored. This early, Orientation was a good hour or so away, but breakfast was already being served. Leaving the students to gather about one of the tables to get acquainted or to spread out to speak to the students trickling in from the other dorms, Cheshire took a seat at the teachers' table and dug into a pile of scrambled eggs and bacon, marmalade on toast, and fried potatoes. Then, if no one disturbed him, he'd prop his shoulders on some constructed air and nap. | |

| (from the Water Dorm)<<Lux>> Although he steered clear of the new students, Lux entered the Dining Hall and took a seat. His keen eyes wandered over the professors already eating and, as he helped himself to porridge with brown sugar, he made note of the classes each professor taught. He had no use for Professor Cloudrunner's weather magic or wind spells. Lux had never had an affinity for elemental magic. One of his former masters told him lacked subtlety. Lux didn't think that was true; he was very good with scrying and potions and illusions, all of which required 'subtlety.' He wondered if the fire professor would be back this year. The one who taught Demonology. Maybe there would be an advanced course this year .... | |

| Casey was awoken early the next morning, having met and aquainted herself with her roommate - who snored loudly - and getting only a bare minimal amount of sleep. The booming voice was indeed more effective than an alarm clock but with her roommate already awake and singing into a hair brush, the effect was lost on her as she was already awake with a pillow stuffed over her ears. The boy couldn't hold a tune to save his life!
Pulling on a parka, she scrambled out of the room as fast as she could. The kid was fine, as all boys tended to be, but... well... he was too new and it was too soon for to start liking him. Besides, he was boring. She followed the general hubbub of the students milling through the dorm and making their way to the Common Room. She got a little lost on the way, but luckily so did everyone else. She wasn't the only one that was late. Milling around the common room, she wondered what would happen next. She didn't exactly have a benchmark to compare with, having been homeschooled, but she thought that they should at least get their classes now. She found herself wondering if the strange masked professor would be around.....
Soon they were all making their way to the Dining Hall, all in a neat (well not so neat) group that followed a strange blue haired man. Once again, she was reminded of anime. Entering through the doors, she spotted Professor Cloud at the teachers table, she stopped for a second, wondering if she could ask about the imminent storm, she hadn't heard anything the night before - and had not had the chance to see the sky this morning. Looking out the great arch windows though showed the sky to be grey and a little windy. As he seemed to settle down for a nap, she frowned and shook her head. Perhaps now would not be the right time.
Picking a seat at random, she was soon horrified to see that she had chosen a seat next toher roommate. With a grin, he passed her a bread roll and began to hum under his breath as he buttered his toast. He even managed to hum while he was shovelling scrambled eggs in his mouth!
Much to her dismay, she learned that Casey liked to hum along too - and it was also very, very tuneless.

Lux frowned as other students started coming into the hall and seated themselves around him. For some unknown reason, his aura of 'piss off' never seemed to work. He could ignore them, but the other students insisted on greeting him anyway and being annoyingly cheerful, like a damned conspiracy.
Only once had they left him alone, but he'd later come to find out he'd had a piece of paper stuck to his back. The sign read: Do Not Disturb. Darcy had been the culprit, which took weeks to discover because they hadn't realized, at that point, that the shadow could manipulate physical objects.
At first he'd assumed that the other students' forced friendliness was a horrible prank, but it continued, and they were never discouraged no matter what he did, so he usually just ended up ignoring them. He could only intimidate the new students for so long before they, too, were infected with whatever do-gooder curse lay over the place. There was nothing left to do but bear it as best he could. Irritation implied the other students' opinions mattered, which they did not.
The sick smile flashed from the boy across from Lux to the other boy seated next to him made Lux smile tightly. He gave the boy a nod of greeting. The other's discomfort gave Lux a perverse sort of pleasure, at least until the other newbie started to hum ....

He had slept hardly at all, but that was normal for him. The darkness waiting beyond all the light that he had swamping his room did not promote ease in him. If only he could light up the whole place. Of course the teacher had come around trying to get him to turn off his lights, but having seen through the glamour to the terrified youth beneath, the man had let him be. There was no option for him of turning the lights off. All shadows in his room had to be eliminated for him to rest.
Still, because of the life he led, the lack of sleep was dealt with amicably, and he, having picked up the list of class subjects, he had headed to the dining room to get breakfast.
He had been up since dawn had flooded natural light into his room, and he wished now that he had gone down to get food earlier, for now the place was teeming with smells that made his stomach clench in disfavour. Bacon, cold beef and other meats were part of the presentation of foods there amongst the cereals that were just as unappetising to him as the rest. How could people actually get sustenance from this food?
A quick glance over the food on display, he would take a plate of salad and a large glass of water, and sit over by one of the windows where sunlight streamed through. It bathed his skin and made him smile. He sat there for a while, taking sips from his water and nibbling on some salad before eventually he looked down at the list of subjects. His smile faltered. He was going to have to do all these within a year? But he had no interest in most of these. I mean come on.. basic charms and incantations?! Could he maybe just skip it and do the test at the end? What on earth were they doing mathematics for anyhow? and sex education?!
He sighed and put the paper back on the table. This year was going to be hellish. Looking back out the window, he tried to recover his good mood, but it was teetering. The only subject he was looking forward to vaguely was interspecies relations, since that was something that would actually be useful. He would take Archery as his Physical Education class he supposed. He was good with a bow.

| Casey shut her eyes for a moment, trying to block both her roommate's audible humming and the internal humming in her head. It seemed that Casey had found someone he could relate to, and that just made Jess a little bit more annoyed. She opened her eyes again when she had managed to at least mute Casey to a small buzz and almost started out of her chair.
Seated opposite her along the trestle table was an elf. He seemed to have a permanent expression of pain on his face and her roommate (she thought his name was Daniel) started humming louder, having finished his solid breakfast and now moving onto a liquid one. She looked over a the elf and noticed the pained expression getting darker. None of the other students seemed to notice though, so she took their lead - being new and all - and just flashed a smile at him.
Hiding her mouth behind a hand, she leaned over and whispered to him, "At least you don't have to put up with it for the rest of the year."
Then she had a thought. Perhaps she could convince Proffessor Cloud that she should have a room to herself. After all, she had to be a special circumstance, and technically her brother could be her roommate. She'd have to ask him, whenever she got the chance.

The glare wasn't working. The icy glare that usually caused the unfortunate recipient to freeze in place as the glaciers of hate oozed across the distance between Lux and whomever had attracted his ire ... was. not. working.
Well.
"Qui dormit, non peccat." Lux's lips moved, but he barely made a sound, the fingers of one hand gesturing swiftly under the table. A short phrase for what shortly was an ex-problem. All done. He grinned, just the barest quirk of his lips, when the boy flopped over his plate, asleep.
That was much better. | |

"This is a joke right?" he said to Chrysth as they went into the dining hall to get breakfast. He was clutching the class sheet in one hand. "I mean come ON" he sounded both frustrated and disbelieving, his gaze looking down at the sheet of paper "I mean come on.. Spells, Charms & Incantations for Beginners?! and" his voice dropped a bit to a disbelieving murmur, more so they wouldn't be overheard "sex education in an all boys setting. What the hell?" He was not a happy bunny today. This whole place was a joke!
He went over and grabbed something for breakfast before sitting down in a slightly podgy huff. This stuff was more than he could swallow, and he wasn't talking about the food. He angrilly bit into some toast. "And all these are compulsory?" he asked his feathered roommate. What the hell were the university staff thinking, making this junk compulsory instead of more useful subjects like computing or business studies, or even accounting. How the hell was he meant to get a job when half of his subjects were joke material?

| ((OOC: *shrug* eh, nobody has actually told me anything.))
((CASEY))
Casey's eyes widened and she wondered breifly what had happened. Her gaze narrowed at the self satisfied smirk that appeared on the elf's face and she shook her head - Casey abruptly having stopped humming himself. She sighed inwardly and went on in a mocking tone, You're such a coward, bro.
The reply was hot and instant, Oh, so you're not afraid huh? Why does our heart keep doing flips when you think of that stupid Teifling?
Casey growled under her breath and ripped into a newly aquired piece of toast. Seeing the look in the elf's eye, she opened said, "What the hell are you grinning at?" He didn't necessarily have to grinning. He was just conveniently in front of her and she needed to lash out at something. Her hot glare mixed with her unattractively full mouth.
((KAIN))
He woke uncharacteristically early - though he was naturally an early bird anyway, 3am was still a overdoing it a little. Until the sun rose, he lay in his bed, unmoving and staring at the ceiling. It was relatively easy for him to think about nothing, and therefore not get bored, as he had had much more practice at being completely empty headed than he cared to admit. A gong sounded and a boom swept through the dorm, instantly waking his roommate who snorted and fell off the bed. Kain just calmly sat up, already dressed (he hadn't changed the night before). As teachers and aides walked through the corridors, he heard them calling for the students to begin heading towards the Dining Hall for breakfast and orientation.
As he walked through the door, leaving his roommate slightly rumpled and confused, he saw that his class roster was tacked to the outside of the door. Even he didn't need to be told to take it before he unpinned it from the wood and stuffed it into his jacket pocket. Then he drifted towards the Dining Hall, following the general commotion the rest of the students were making.
As he entered, he chose a table at random and sat, taking nothing to eat. He wasn't hungry and unless he used his abilities, he wouldn't be hungry any time soon. Taking the piece of paper from his pocket, he took the time to take a little look. His face showed no emotion at the words on the page, so onlookers would not be able to guess what he was feeling, but he folded it up again and tucked it back into his pocket.
Then he sat and waited calmly for breakfast to end.

Ugh!
Lux's reaction was instinctive. Repulsed by such boorish manners, he pointed his fingers at the boy he'd momentarily felt a kindred spark for, and spoke swiftly: "Ab hinc sermonis dulcidine!"
His chin rose, eyes flashing as he sneered a sneer that made all within reach of it flinch and look away. The jinx was not powerful, but Lux had cast the spell with a millenia of practice. Short of a counter-curse, the spell would seal all words uttered by the subject into the politest forms of address indefinitely. Gestures, actions, and even tone would remain unaffected, but never again would the child (his lip curled slightly in disdain) dare to speak so uncivilly to Lux.
He was tempted to add in something that would turn the boy's teeth black or curdle the food he'd just gotten an all too-close look at, but he didn't wish to push his luck on the very first day, not after the lecture he'd received the night before. Surely, such a simple spell would be considered just considering the provocation, and something much more complex would be expected from a sorcerer as powerful as Lux, so aside from the witnesses, there was nothing to incriminate him.
He sniffed haughtily and gracefully tucked back into his meal, back to ignoring everything and everyone. This pettishness was beneath him.
<<Darcy>>
He followed the two boys from their dorm, drifting along with the crowd of students from the Water Dorm on the way to the Dining Hall. Once there, he scampered back into the shadows, picking out a spot amongst the rafters to watch, and waving to Duncan, but he had never been able to tell if the dragon knew he was there or not.

| From the Water Dorm Chrysth burst into the Dining Hall, with the rest of his dorm, bright eyed and cheerful, his wings opening just a bit, eager, his notepad clutched against his chest, taking a seat with the rest of the water dorm, seemed there were four tables now, banners of each house hung over the four tables, miraculously big enough to house each of the students as they squeezed in next to each other. Some students crossed between tables, chatting and sitting, but eventually returned to their dorm tables as everyone sat and ate breakfast. Chrysth introduced himself to about a hundred different people, his roommate too, since Kevin seemed awful shy. He laughed, and he made Kevin laugh, even if he had to tickle the other with his feathers, and generally had fun as Firstmeal began. When the other looked over the timesheets he leaned over the other's shoulder, "I dunno, the charms class is interesting. I imagine some other classes are offered later in the year. Something like... I dunno, healing, or possibly arithmancy, maybe a few ritual classes. Good if you want a job for the government." He said around a mouthful of toast. "Yes they're compulsory, didn't you read your introduction letter? 'Some classes are required, that don't necessarily benefit the degrees of the student, but are necessary for the interactions between differing students.' Like the Inter-species relations? Not necessary for the degree, but good for interactions between the students of differing race. Vampires and werewolves are a classic example." He explained to the other. | |

He just looked at Chrysth as he said about the other subjects. Was the guy being deliberately obtuse? He put the paper down on the table. Be calm Kevin, be calm. You know very well this guy is in on the whole thing, because I mean wings? "Yeah, whatever" he said, folding the paper and putting it into his pocket.
Of course charms and spells were compulsory, what was he thinking! This was a "magic university" wasn't it. All the lies made his skin crawl. Well if the majority of his classes were going to be like this, ie totally useless in the real world, he would go back to his job flipping burgers thank you very much. It had been an interesting game at first, sort of, but there was no way he was living in this lie long enough to ruin any career chances he might have had. He would flip burgers for a few more years and save up to go to a real university.
He couldn't just walk out right now though, not with official classes starting soon. He would speak to a teacher later today and pack up his stuff if he was going to have to take such rediculous classes as well as going along with this whole movie-scale lie. Of course, he thought, even if his subjects were changed, he would likely be left with nothing at the end of it except becoming very messed up in the head, because this place was unlikely to be able to give him a degree that held up on paper.
Decided, he would munch on his toast, saying no more on the subject of class subjects. Vampires and werewolves indeed.

| Casey went back to chewing as Lux also went back to his meal. She knew she had been a bit rude, but that was no call to absolutely ignore her! Whatever, she was hungry and an unfortunate side effect of her delicate condition had her eating for two; even if she only ever looked like she was starving to death.
Picking up a piece of toast she had to wonder at how it stayed fresh and warm all this time. She had been eyeing that particular piece for some time now and was sure it would be all horrible and dry. In actual fact, if she held it for too long, it would soon burn her fingers. Aside from the delightful feeling of warm toast, she realised it wasn't buttered. "What the? They keep the toast warm but don't even bother to butter it?"
"Butter it yourself." Came a reply from an unknown boy. She just glared at him and picked up her bread knife, preparing to say something nasty. Then she saw that the butter pot was next to the elf. She had a momentary feeling of dread, Oh god... I don't want to talk to him again...
Maybe you should have thought of your toast before you went around snapping his head off. She groaned and resisted the urge to shake her head. This morning wasn't going all that well. Not well at all. Well, I'm getting the damn butter anyway.
Don't forget to be rude about it - after all, he did ignore you. she heard a snicker in the back of her mind but mentally shook Casey off. The boy was strange sometimes!
She turned to the elf and opened her mouth, "Um, so sorry to bother you, sir, but would you be so kind and pass me that butter pot there? I would be so grateful if you did." Her mouth dried, twisting around words that weren't hers but they did not affect her tone or speech - the result of which was a mocking, sarcastic attempt at being rude. She blinked and swallowed - Casey just laughed.
She opened her mouth again, intending to say it right this time, "So sorry, but I don't think I made myself clear earlier, I meant to ask if you could pass me the butter butter please. " She went cross eyed and promptly snapped her mouth shut. There was something fishy going one here.

It took! Of course, Lux had no doubts about the strength of his spells, but he hadn't lived so long by assuming things. Nothing of his inner smug glee showed through to his haughty exterior, however (though Darcy wondered what his master was up to).
With the barest hint of a smile, Lux inclined his head fractionally in a nod, and pushed the little plate of butter across the table.
He pushed at the remains of his breakfast, fuming over the delay as Northwood's headmaster took his time in arriving. All students and staff were informally required to be in attendance for the opening speech. After that, all but the new freshmen and transfers would skeddadle from the hall to enjoy their last day of freedom before formal classes began.
Lux wished he'd hurry up and be about it already. There were things he wished to do.

| <<Caden>>(( From here)) Caden stumbled into the Dining Hall, having tripped over his own feet as he gazed at the students already there. Closing his eyes, he focused his breathing. He was going to be just fine. He was small, yes. Quiet, definitely. But that didn't mean he couldn't survive an orientation. "It's just another school." He whispered to himself. Unfortunately, his mental pep talk was interrupted as he walked right into someone. What was it? The second time in two days? Flushing bright red, he glanced at whoever he'd run into and muttered a quiet apology and scuttled to a table where he selected a light breakfast of toast and jam to nibble on while he watched the other students arrive. He had no idea what classes he was going to take or even if he had time in his schedule to take any but the required classes this year. <<Corin>>(( From here)) Following the professor into the Dining Hall, Corin almost managed to saunter in. Had he been a little more awake the movements would have been more graceful. Grinning at those he passed, he sat himself down at a table and didn't touch the food. He just sat and watched the other students and teachers eat. "Ah... much as I hate mornings. It's good to be back here another year." He spoke to really no in particular, but he would welcome a conversation to keep him alert. <<Professor Anders>>(( From here)) Professor Anders led the newest students to the Fire Dorm out along the quickest path for the Dining Hall. Answering questions when asked, but otherwise offering little information. Fact was, he was hungry and didn't want to take the time to go on about the campus. They were college age, they could ask questions and figure things out on their own, he told himself as he led them swiftly into the hall. "Go, eat, enjoy. Orientation will start shortly." He said and left them to their own devices. He promptly made for the teachers table and piled a plate with sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and a stack of pancakes. All of that, poured syrup on and dug in with a fork. Sure it wasn't likely to be the healthiest meal, nor was it the most polite way to eat. But, dammit, he was hungry and very little was going to stop him from eating. | |

"Welcome back," said Cheshire, as someone took a seat nearby. He'd been dozing, but Keegan's smooth voice made him smile and, though he didn't sit up, he had cracked his eyelids open to watch the man.
Cheshire remembered having Professor Anders as an instructor back when he'd been a student at Northwood, and he remembered feeling distinctly odd about striking up a friendship with the man. But his adolescent crushes were far behind him now, and Cheshire counted Keegan as one of his closest friends.
Granted, Cheshire was a babe in Keegan's eyes, and would barely take up an eye-blink of the non-human's life-span, but he was a merry, mischievous sort that had never revealed any of Cheshire's pranks, and had even taken part on occasion.
He was as eager to hear of Keegan's travels as ever, but the night's weather-working had sucked away all of Cheshire's extra energy, and he was likewise eager to loaf around as long as possible. His schedule this semester was a grueling one, and one he wasn't exactly looking forward to, but there were enough promising students to actually hold a weather-working class, so he hadn't felt able to say no to the additional class, whatever the burden would be.
Keegan, at least, looked relaxed and optimistic, and Cheshire wondered where he'd gone to put the color in his cheeks.

"Hm?" Keegan blinked up from his breakfast and grinned at the human man. "Ah... Cheshire. Thanks. Glad to be back. How was your summer?" He asked. He had an idea of what had happened while he was gone and if it was true... well he'd take it from whatever answer he got. Taking a bite of his pancakes, he watched his friend. "You seem tired. You were working late?" He added, concern touching his face. After all, the man had been one of his favorite students back in his time at the University and now he was a good friend.

He shrugged. "A little this. Little that. Broke up with Vanessa." He sighed, shifting slightly on his chair, but otherwise remaining as outwardly calm as ever. "Yep, was up late. Turned that storm into today's dismal rain. Think the Headmaster'll get here before noon?"
The corner of his mouth lifted into a grin, and he opened his eyes a sliver in time to catch Keegan's expression.

Keegan pat the man on the shoulder, but otherwise said nothing about the relationship. It was a little soon for the "she wasn't good for you" speech, but the relief in his eyes would probably give him away. He laughed, "Sure he will, we just have to wonder if he'll stick around for while this time." He pat the man on his shoulder, a wide grin spreading across his face as he remembered the schedule for the year, "Yep, caught yours too. Don't go dying on me, hear?"

He laughed, sitting up at the table again with a bang of the chair legs. "Ha-ha! Yeah, right, old man! You first!"
He tacitly ignored the 'I told you so' in the other man's eyes and pulled out his class schedule to compare with the Fire Dorm Master's. If he got involved in his work, he wouldn't stew so much, and while he knew that he'd ultimately made the right decision, it was still hard to walk away from a relationship he'd invested so much in.
But he was glad Keegan didn't pursue that topic of conversation, letting himself be dragged into a discussion of their classes and prospective students.

He surged over grass, the wards parting as he leapt through, his feet hardly touching the ground, keeping him in a perpetual hover/float as he moved. His body was a deep olive color, his hair a wild, black, mass of waves, pulled back in a curly, maddening ponytail. His eyes were dark, green like oak leaves in nighttime. He wore no shoes, his bare feet playing on the sunlight strewn grass as he made for the castle. Home. Ah home. The doors swung open as he approached, and he surged through the halls, smirking as the doors to the dining hall swung open widely, the doors banging loudly into the walls. He was home.
He smirked, he was tall, olive skinned, his body built and powerful, his shoulders, broad, his waist narrowed, the ripples of his abdomen stood out, he pulled his shirt on, a plain, green button down in silk, left open at the top of his chest, tucking it half into his pants, the bottoms wet with the dew on the grass. He made his way up to the teacher's table, his hips swaying, back and forth, as he sat down at the headmaster's seat. "Gentlemen, ladies," He nodded to the women at the table, "It's good to be back. Miss me?" He asked the teachers.
<<Chrysth>>
"Oh don't sound so disappointed." He said, one wing folding over the other's shoulders, "I'm actually looking forward to Inter-Spe, that looks like fun." He took a mouthful of eggs and looked at the other again. He swallowed before he arched a brow at the other, a slight grin on his face. He leapt out of skin as the doors boomed open, however, he was sure he lost a few feathers, even if he didn't lose his skin. He closed his wings, pulling them in abruptly as the new man swept past, his eyes darting to follow the man. Sex on two legs. Pure masculinity. And god, it was something to behold. The man put out sex like a cloud. Who was he? The headmaster!
He was sure that his jaw was somewhere in the vicinity of the floor, and most everyone else was he was sure. That man was definitely an incubus. Decidedly incubus. He was like the king of incubi. He'd never met one with such an aura, not like this one. He had heard that there was another incubus in the school, in Earth dorm, but he hadn't sensed it, this... this man was different from that one. He could sense it. "God." he murmured.

| <<Cheshire>>
The good mood evaporated as quickly as it had come, and Cheshire fought very hard to keep the scowl off his face. He disliked the Headmaster, but he'd never figured out why (other than his annoying habit of drawing all attention to himself whatever else was going on in the vicinity), so he was conscious about making sure he didn't act on his first instincts. Rather, he'd tried very hard to do the opposite and make friends with the incubus -- a rather difficult proposition indeed, when almost everything out of his mouth was taken as a proposition, leaving him red-faced and stammering.
Maybe that was why he disliked the Headmaster so. He was not ... comfortable to be around. As the currently quiet Dining Hall was a prime example, no one could ever seem to keep their eyes off the incubus, either. That was annoying, to say the least, and always made Cheshire wonder how anyone got a decent review of their class and teaching style when all the students were busy drooling over the Headmaster instead of paying attention.
Rather like myself, he thought, fighting another scowl as he dragged his gaze away to tear savagely at his english muffin. Bastard.
He caught Keegan's eye (and smirk) and did scowl at him. "Oh, shut up."
<<Lux/Darcy>>
Upon the arrival of the headmaster, Darcy left the rafters to pool within the shadows under Lux's chair. The tensions in the room made him nervous and the elven sorcerer hissed in irritation at his shadow, rubbing the side of his head.
The Headmaster could always be counted on to make a flashy entrance, and Lux stared around with superior disdain at the dropped jaws and lustful staring the incubus left in his wake. Lux was above such things.

| <<Keegan>>
As Keegan pulled his own schedule, perfectly happy with talking work with his friend and loud sound brought his attention to the doors. The headmaster floated into the hall. "Told you he'd be here before noon." He whispered to Cheshire, as he watched the incubus float through the hall. He was one of the most powerful Keegan had met. And knew for a fact that in a challenge of sex appeal, the Headmaster beat him badly, fortunately he wasn't often around for the students and staff to gawk at, so Keegan still stood a chance most days.
Tearing his gaze from the bossman, he chuckled as Cheshire killed his muffin and his grin only widened when the guy scowled at him, "I said nothing. Although, I do think I should have put a wager on his arriving before noon. Could've won it." He replied, as ideas for what it would have cost the professor sparkled in his gaze. After a moment, he turned focus back on the Heamaster as he seated himself and addressed the instructors.
"Morning, Headmaster." He greeted, "Good to have you with us." He always wondered where the Headmaster disappeared to, but the incubus was one of the few people he wouldn't demand an answer from. "Enjoy your summer?" It didn't mean he never tried to lead the conversation in that direction.
<<Corin>>
Corin was always taken in by the view of the headmaster. Who wouldn't? He was a creature that fed on sex, so he had to be attractive for survival if nothing else. But this guys looks were beyond a mere survival tactic, he was a sex god. Had to be, seeing as everyone in the hall save for a stubborn few were staring at him, dumbstruck and he was sure that more than a few pants were tenting at the mere sight of this yummy man.
<<Caden>>
Caden's eyes widened as the doors swung open and he jumped a few inches in his seat. His heart was already pounding from the surprise and he wasn't given any chance to calm himself as the most beautiful man... creature... what was he? Caden would love to find out. Blushing red at his own uncharacteristic thought, the blond looked down at his lap, forcing himself not to look or think about the creature exuded sex like none before him. However, it was long before he sneaked a peek at where the creature sat. The head of the teacher's table...? That meant... Caden buried his beet red face in his arms, he was attracted to the Headmaster?! That just wasn't right! Not right at all!

| << Kevin Bishop >> Kevin was unconvinced by the cheerful enthusiasm exuded by his roommate about the classes. "Yeah sure.. most of these classes are a joke!" he all but hissed lowly, not wanting his conversation to be heard by those nearby.
Looking around the room, the place was fairly filling up with students. He wondered how many of them were plants and how many of them were here unknowing, or perhaps most of them actually believed in this place by now. He could spot the strange looking ones a mile off really, and there were a fair few of them certainly. Wings, horns and the like. He turned back to his breakfast and glared at it only to jump when the doors were slammed open.
He spun around and was instantly caught, his gaze riveted on this man that strode into the hall like he owned it, unknowing that he did. He would hear nothing of anything Chrysth might say, In fact, as the man strode by his table, he was unaware that he had stood to follow, having apsolutely no natural resistance to whatever drugging effect that the man put out. Only Chrysth's grip on his arm would stop him actually following him as any human might. He heard nothing, saw nothing except the man that sat at the teachers table after having entered.
<< Ash >> He had been trying to eat his breakfast, trying to be avoided by the rest of the room, being in one of the far reaching sides of the dining hall by the windows, away from the main bulk of students. There were quite a few he would go out of his way to avoid, but as those doors slammed open, he shrunk back in his seat, pressing as close to the sunlit window as was possible. He stared, but his stare was one of fear rather than adoration. Here was a creature that should surely be in the darkness, and yet walked around with confidence in the daylight. It only showed what strength this person had. He had to get out of here, and yet he could not make his body move. Like a rabbit on the road, he was frozen in place, though his lips did part ever so slightly.
<< Duncan >> As the headmaster strode into the room, Duncan also made his appearance in perfect timing, swooping down to land lightly on the back of the headmaster's high-backed chair, a soft crooning noise made as the other leaned back, and his head would lean forward on his long neck and rest on the incubus' shoulder.
Of all the man-things in the castle, this one was one of the few he actually considered more than merely a servant. This one was the one that had raised him, taught him and played with him, teaching him hunting. He had been a parent, as well as a fierce hunter. No, not a servant, more a dragon in a man-thing form, he had decided long ago. He had the pull of good looks, as any dragon did after all.

| <<Headmaster>>
The Headmaster gave an amused look at Cheshire, "Don't look so disappointed to see me." He said playfully, his pony bouncing as he turned his head to the wind master. "I hope I haven't missed anything important?" He asked, tilting his head slightly before he turned and acknowledged Keegan. "Good to be back." He murmured softly. He chased his hands around the glass, as he did not eat really. He sipped at his drink, watching the students, who had not stopped, save the few who would not look at him. Some students were like that. It didn't bother him. Though, he looked out, there were one or two that had stood up, as if to make with him. But friends wisely restrained them before they could.
He watched as the little dragon rushed to him, settling at the top of his chair as he reached up, affectionately rubbing under his chin for a moment, before he stood, rapping on his glass, indicating that, yes, he actually wanted to have their attention now. "Welcome to Northwood. I am Headmaster Dorinta Debauche." He said loudly, his voice carried by the room so all could hear, "So many familiar faces, it is good to see, and those new faces are a welcome sight. It seems like every year we find more and more. I am glad you are here. You've all seen your dorms by now, and gotten a basic idea of what the manor is like, classes, as I'm sure you know, will start tomorrow, timetables have been organized, and at the end of the semester, you newer students will be spoken to about potential career paths so that your classes will be better organized to aid you." He cleared his throat a bit.
"After breakfast has finished, you will be taken, by dorm, on a brief tour of the school, so that you know mostly where you will be going and how to get there, shortly after you will meet with your dorm head, so that he may help you put together your classes. Lunch is then at one, or whenever you finish your timesheets, you older students, you know the drill, your classes have already been selected online. New students will be able to once this first semester is over." His gaze swept the hall, already picking out some of the students he knew, and those whom he knew were newbies. "You all are here to find a place and I hope that we, here at Northwood, can help you find that place." He sat down then, abruptly, turning back to the teachers a signal that he was done talking to the students.
<<Chrysth>>
"Well." He said, dragging Kevin down, "Settle down will you?" He said, "Headmaster isn't going anywhere." He murmured, "Good thing too, fair few would be reluctant to see him go, he's an Incubus." He watched the other for a moment, "Got a draw on everyone with a sex drive, even those without have a stirring for one as powerful as he is."
<<Edward>>
It was hard every year to be in the presence of one of his kind that eclipsed him so... soundly. It was almost painful as the Headmaster strode in, he could sense him as he came up to the school, the sensation that surrounded him so profound it made his head ache. Privileged few found their way into the Headmaster's bed and he, thankfully, was not one of those that had endeared themselves to the Headmaster's presence.
Sometimes though, he had a few people ask to be with him because they wanted to be in the Headmaster's bed, a small, but stupid, assumption, he didn't hardly put out the aura that he did. Logic dictated... Duh. He pinched the bridge of his nose, already a headache was forming behind his eyes. The magic of the Uni was resourceful, however, and he found a pair of headache tablets by his hand when he looked up. He quietly thanked the magic and dissolved the tablets in his drink.
<<Julian>>
He'd never been so fascinated by an individual, his body shivered through about three hundred transformations when he'd sensed him. Mostly patches on his skin of fur/scales/etc, though his ears changed and he sprouted four different kinds of tails before he settled, and several of the other students around him had moved away. It didn't bother him, the transformations could make anyone a little nauseous, watching them. He itched, wanted to change, the different animals clamored for attention in his mind, but he swallowed them, forcing himself to eat a bit more and ignore the man at the table.
<<Toma>>
Already plotting on how to pick on Lux, he was talking to Dae quietly, who scolded him for thinking such. "It's not like he doesn't deserve it."
"That's not the point, you're encouraging this... hostility between you."
"He had it coming, he's the biggest prick this side of the Rockies. Acting like he's superior to everyone, he's not." He said pointedly, "He's just an asshole with security problems. And without his asshole status, he's just a elf with a bad attitude."
"Doesn't mean you can... antagonize him." Dae replied.
"But it's fun...!" He jumped a bit as the doors banged open, "Christ."
Dae rolled his eyes, "You had that coming."
Toma shrugged as he watched the Headmaster go up and listened to his speech. "What shall I do this year Lux?" He murmured quietly. What indeed.
